Alfred Gonzales Jr. age 58 of Freeport, Texas was a loving father, husband, friend, and hard worker. On March 14th, 2020 he decided to take his life for unknown reasons. His death has created great sorrow in the hearts of his family and many friends. A memorial service honoring his life will be held at 3:00pm Saturday March 28, 2020 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston.

Fred was born September 18, 1961 in Port Lavaca, Texas to Alfred Gonzales, Sr. and Adelina Rodriguez Gonzalez. He was a welder by trade and a good provider for his family. Fred knew how to light up a room. He loved to play pool and Ride his Harley Davidson and just be around his family. Anyone who knew Fred also knew that he was a very loving and strong person. They also know that this was very out of character for him and that he would have never done this to himself.  We don't want this one event to define his memory. Rather we wish you to remember the good times and the opportunities we had to be with him. Remember he loved life and we wish that none of you to blame yourselves for this tragic loss. He will never be forgotten. Rest with the Angels Fred, we will always love you.

Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years Patsy Gonzales and his daughter Patsyann Gonzales who he loved dearly.
