Andrell "Richard" Jordan Decker, 35, returned to his heavenly home on Saturday, June 24, 2023, after a valiant battle with cancer. Richard was a beloved father, husband, and son. Richard's firm belief in God and steadfast devotion to his family granted him peace and supported him throughout his struggle.

Richard was born in Galveston, TX and spent most of his life in Galveston County and attended Dickinson High School. In 2022, he married his best friend, Erin Elise Jordan in Galveston, Texas and together they lived in Kemah, Texas. Richard was a caretaker at heart. He was kind and soft-spoken, and always had time to lend an empathetic ear. He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator.

Richard is survived by his wife, Erin; his daughter, Jaidyn; his mother, Erma Jordan of Galveston; his parents, Charles and Stephanie Decker of Brownwood; his grandparents, Marvin and Lois Smith of College Station; Reginald and Tamara Jordan of Arlington; Tawana Jordan of Arlington; Tamika and Brandon Reyna of Katy; Joshua Decker of Dallas; Latrice Decker of Brownwood; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Eula Mae Allen of Galveston, grandparents, JB and Esther Jordan of Galveston, and his father, Allen Dials of Texas City.

A memorial service for Richard will be held at Church of the Living God in Galveston, Texas at 2 p.m. on July 1st.
