GALVESTON   Angel Copado, Jr. age 92 of Galveston died Tuesday August 16, 2022 at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Funeral services are 6:00pm Friday August 19, 2022 with visitation beginning at 5:00pm at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home.

Mr. Copado was born February 15, 1930 in Galveston to Angel Copado, Sr. and Ignacia Hernandez Copado. He was a Roman Catholic all his life. He was employed at Todd's Shipyard as a Boiler Maker for many years before joining the ILA Local # 20 in his retirement years. He enjoyed many things including just piddling around the house fixing things, working in his yard, and barbecuing. He enjoyed dancing and especially all Mardi Gras Celebrations watching the many parades. He was a sports fan of the Texans, the Rockets and his favorite the Astros. His true joy came from his grandchildren that he adored. He was a man who held deep love for his family and his friends. His presence we will miss but his memory we will never forget.

Mr. Copado was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Beatrice Copado; brothers Joe, Willie, Mike and Faustino Copado. Survivors include daughters Belinda Enriquez and husband Michael of Galveston and Rita Copado and husband Cruz of LaMarque; son, Angel Copado, III and wife Nelva of LaMarque; brothers Severo Copado of Galveston and Lupe Copado of LaMarque; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
