Galveston – Araceli Altamirano, 61, Passed away on Thursday September 7th, 2023, at the University of
Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. A memorial service will be held 12:00 noon Saturday September 23, 2023 at the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church located at 5602 Avenue P1/2 in Galveston TX.
Araceli was born November 17th, 1961, in Brownsville TX. She began her journey working at UTMB happily
helping others, shortly after she began her professional career in the banking industry and loved her trade
for over 40 years. Her Hobbies were painting nature scenes, sewing and designing new fashions, arts and
crafts, watching movies, cooking, listening to music, going to church, watching the waves of the ocean,
and most of all spending time with her loved ones.
Araceli is proceeded in death by her father – Rogelio Altamirano, Mother – Aida Altamirano Brothers –
Rogelio Altamirano Jr and Rolando Altamirano.
She is survived by sons - Ruben Mendoza Jr. and Robert Anthony Mendoza Brothers and Sisters – Leticia
Altamirano, Carmen Altamirano, Sandra Altamirano, Ruben Altamirano and wife Mandy Altamirano, Rick
Altamirano and wife Kim Altamirano, Robert Altamirano and wife Elizabeth, Rudy Altamirano and wife
Darlene Altamirano. Aunts and Cousins – Chelo Sosa, Martha Sosa, Sandra Sosa, Eddie Sosa, Walter Bond,
nieces Ashlee Altamirano, Amber Altamirano, Christain Santini, Kirstin Altamirano, Ruben Altamirano Jr.,
Kaitlyn Altamirano, and numerous more nieces and nephews. Best Friends – Olga Moreno, Roxanna &
