Armando "Mondo" Sanchez Sr., (69), of Galveston, TX, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2023, at his home surrounded by friends and family.

Armando was born on January 25, 1954 in Galveston, TX to Juan and Hortencia Sanchez. He had five children three sons, Armando Jr., Robert, James and two daughters, Jessica and Stephanie.

He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and was able make friends wherever he went, his door was always open.

Armando held many titles in his life, from painter to entrepreneur, but his favorite role was being a father and grandfather. He loved nothing more than spending time with his children and grandchildren near and far. He was always there for them in his own way, whether he was helping them apply for school or cheering them on during their sporting events. No matter what, he was always their #1 fan and loved to make them smile. He was so proud of them.
Armando was preceded in death by his father, Juan, his mother, Hortensia, and his son Robert. He is survived by his children, Armando Jr., Jessica, James, and Stephanie, his sister Aurora, brothers Albert, John, Rick and Andy and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Per his wishes, a funeral service will not be held. Scattering of ashes will take place at a later time in Galveston and Montana.
