GALVESTON Audrey Lee Blake age 75 of Galveston entered eternal rest Monday November 30, 2020 at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Funeral services are Saturday December 19, 2020 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, Funeral at 11:00am with visitation beginning at 9:00am , Reverend Edward Green and Reverend Dexter Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Galveston.
Audrey Lee Blake gained her heavenly wings on November 30, 2020. She was born August 15, 1945 in Galveston, Texas to the late Percy Minix and Rena Cummins. Audrey attended Carver Elementary and was a caregiver until her health failed. Audrey Lee Blake, known as Ms. ALB, loved her family and friends unconditionally and they love her more. Ms. ALB was loved and respected in and out of her community (The West End).
Preceded in death by two sisters Doris Davis and Ruby Sampson; Brother in law Joseph Davis; Nephew Eugene Payton; Niece Minnie Pearl Jones; Sister in Christ Martha Sellers, and God Daughter Janice Rideaux.
This very loving and devoted mother leaves a ton of precious memories that will be forever cherished by her four children Rena Batiste, Robert E. Blake, Yolanda Richardson and Sonora Blake; Two Brothers Percy Blake (Linda) and Percy Robinson, Two Sisters Delores Davis (Reuben) and Tony White; Nephews Willie Dimes (Marie); Great Nephews Charles Jones (Lola) and Larry Jones; Great Niece Latosha Nixon (Kirk); Thirty (30) grandchildren, Forty 40) great-grandchildren, Two (2) great-grandchildren; God Children Kimberly Perez Diaz, Johnny Perez, Francis Clarisa Rideaux, Lisa Rideaux and Sandra Perez; Lifetime Friends Andrea Perez, Willie B. Willis and Barbara Holmes; Extended Family Joyce Dennis, the Hall Family and the Turner Family; Devoted Grandsons Robert Charles Blake (Man Man) and Robert Batinga Blake (Lil-Rob).
