Basilia "Delia" Juarez, age 75, was born on November 9, 1949, in Doctor Arroyo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She entered eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 19th, 2025, at her residence in Galveston, where she lived with her family since 1979. She loved to cook and always had a plate of food ready for anyone that walked in the house. She was especially known for her famous tamales, burritos, and other authentic Mexican dishes from the Taqueria Juarez. As she cooked, she always kept the radio on listening to her favorite music. She stayed busy babysitting her grandkids, great grandkids, and great nieces and nephews.

Basilia is proceeded in death by her parents- Miguel and Guadalupe Gonzalez, husband- Luciano Juarez, daughter- Martha Edith Juarez, son in law- Eduardo Lujan, two brothers, three sisters, and several nieces.

She is survived by her children: son- Ramon Juarez and wife Nelda, daughter Rosa Juarez Lujan, daughter – Anna Juarez and husband Ricardo, son- Luciano Juarez II and wife Claudia, son- Genaro Juarez and wife Alicia, son in law- Domingo Rodas, 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, two brothers, and three sisters.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Steven Ramon Juarez, Miguel Angel Juarez, Luciano Juarez III, Austin Lujan, Genaro Juarez Jr., Christian Juarez, and great-grandsons: Donovan Caleb Martin and Samuel Bryce Filer.

Funeral services are 10:00am Monday, June 23, 2025 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm where a rosary will be recited at 6:30p.m.
