Bonifacio Vega age 61 of Galveston died Tuesday July 27, 2021 at his residence. Funeral services are 10:00am Monday, August 2, 2021 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm where a rosary will be recited at 6:30pm.

Bonifacio was born June 5, 1960 in Rio Verde, San Luis, Mexico to Hijinio Vega and Irene Martinez. He was a fantastic cook, a devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather and a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife Maria DelValle of Galveston; mother Irene Vega of Mexico; daughters, Alicia Vega, Elizabeth Trevino and husband Osbaldo Flores and Crystal Trevino all of Galveston; brother Arturo Vega and wife Anna of Mexico; sister Alicia Rivera and husband Carlos of Mexico; grandchildren Graciela Mejia, Arturo Gonzalez, Jr., Aimee Mejia and Valentina Campbell; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers are Osbaldo Flores, Antonio DelValle, Jr., Cristian Santiago, Diego Rodriguez, Jose Luevano and Michael Vasquez.
