Brittney Dasha Holbert, age 26 of Galveston, Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at UTMB Hospital surrounded by family and loved ones.  Brittney was born March 29, 1994 in Galveston, Texas.

She enjoyed doing what most 26 year old young women do, traveling, hanging out with friends, spending time with her family, and pursuing her passion for entrepreneurship.  Brittney was an employee for Texas Department of Public Safety for the past 4 years.

Most importantly, Brittney had a deep love for her family.  She cherished the bond she had with her mother, Tameeka Holbert and maternal grandmother, Patricia Lynn Holbert, who both preceded her in death.

She inherited her compassionate, generous humanitarian spirit from her grandmother Patricia.  She continued to demonstrate this humanitarian spirit through her ongoing support for Breast Cancer Awareness, which caused the untimely deaths of both her mother and maternal grandmother.  Brittney's legacy of giving, being a caring humanitarian and positively touching numerous lives continued to be demonstrated through her decision to be an organ donor, which has already saved lives as recently as this week!

She leaves to cherish her memory aunt -Sharonda Newby (husband Corey) of Houston, TX, uncle -Ricky Holbert of Galveston, TX, God brother - Jared Kitchen of Galveston, TX and grandfather Bennie Holbert of Texas City, TX.  She also leaves to cherish her memory serval cousins – Prestina, Starkisha, Raven, Leandra, Nae, Qiera, Chaz, Annie, Billy, Denise, Raynold, Elizabeth, TJ, Tunisia, Timothy, Donny and a host of others.

Also surviving are her aunts and uncles, Janice, Londa, Curley, Anthony and Billy.

A celebration of life service for Brittney will be held at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home.

• A visitation and viewing of a power point celebration of Brittney's life will be shown Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

• Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.
