GALVESTON   Bruce William Buss, Jr. age 47 of Galveston died Friday September 23, 2022 at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Funeral services are 10:00am Saturday October 1, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited at 6:30pm.

Bruce was born August 9, 1975 in Houston to Bruce William Buss, Sr. and Carolyn Paradowski Buss. He was a member of the 1994 class of Sam Houston High School in Houston. Bruce was an Eagle Scout and member of Post 544 of Houston and an Auxiliary of the VFW Post 880 where he was the current chaplain. He was employed at McRee Ford in Dickinson as the Parts Department Manager. He was a competitive athlete with a strong drive who always had to finish in first place. He loved playing Basketball throughout his life and was also a switch handed bowler with an extremely high average. At one time he bowled 9 strikes and finished with a spare. He enjoyed playing video games and racing his Black Neon on Rankin Road. He loved his Tattoos and enjoyed traveling great distances to see ICP Perform.  He was a man who held deep love for his family and his friends. His presence we will miss but his memory we will never forget.

Preceded in death by his mother Carolyn Buss and step brother Robert "Cotton" Wright; survivors include his father and step mother Bruce William Buss, Sr. and Debbie Buss of Galveston; sons Mikel Buss and Matthew Buss of Houston; brother Jamison Buss and wife Tobee of Katy, Texas, step brother John Wright and wife Samantha of Tomball, Texas; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and many friends.
