Carl Dexter Palmer, Sr. age 63 of LaMarque died Saturday September 5, 2020 at his residence in LaMarque. Funeral services are 2:00pm Friday September 11, 2020 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston, Reverend Louis Simpson officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon Friday.

Carl was born September 20, 1956 in Galveston, Texas to Lafate Palmer and Dorothy Mae Hines. He was a Christian man that loved the Lord and his family. He worked at the Galveston Grain Elevator, St. Mary's Hospital, UTMB and as a Pawn Broker over his career. His memory will be forever cherished.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, son Carl Palmer, Jr., brother Robert Campbell, sister Rozilla Compton and Mavis Kindred. Survivors include his wife Nancy Reed Palmer; children Christopher Palmer, James Moore, Joshua Blanks (Tara), Felquishia Reed (Tyeisha), Johnnishia Epps (Rodney), Johnnikia Maxey (Chris Cannon), Johnnathan Maxey, Wylie Robinson (Sugar), Jamie Williams (Antyron Houston), Wyliesha Robinson (Steve Romero), Wyquillia Robinson and Clairishia Reed; sisters Alice Ford (Eugene), Johnnie Mae Campbell (James Anderson) and Cassandra Campbell; 38 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; devoted friend William H. "Will" Williams; numerous other relatives and many friends.
