Carolyn Dee Bristow Niday age 76 of Houston went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Kindred Hospital Bay Area in Pasadena. A visitation will be held on Tuesday July 23, 2019 at Carnes Funeral Home 3100 Gulf Fwy, Texas City, TX 77591 where the family will welcome visitors from 5pm to 8 pm. Graveside services will be held 11:00am Wednesday at South Park Cemetery 1310 N. Main St. Pearland, TX 77581, where she will laid to rest next to beloved husband Ronnie.

Carolyn was born January 1, 1943 a New Year's Day baby to Dorothy Lee and Clayton Bristow of Houston, TX. She graduated from Milby High School in 1961, then completed Business College and went on to work at American General which would later become AIG. Carolyn worked forty nine years for AIG where she served in many roles. During her time there she was a secretary for Gus Wortham the founder of American General.

Carolyn and Ronnie were high school sweet hearts married on January 31,1964. They were married for forty four years until his death in 2008. Upon retiring, she enjoyed going out to eat with her children, car rides to Galveston, and selling at the flea market and the Antique mall on the weekends.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her loving husband Ronnie D. Niday in May of 2008 and her parents Dorothy Lee Bristow and Clayton Bristow of Houston, TX.

She is survived by her loving and devoted children Ronnie Dean Niday Jr. and daughter Dorothy Lee (Dottie) Niday of Houston, TX; Sister Cindy Lea and Andrea Brame Kite of Alvin, TX.

Pallbearers are Jason Cloud, Eddie Stanton, Jim Scott, Dan Collie, Austin Thomerson and Rudy Avina.
