Celebrating the Life of Chaplain Donald Edgar Lott

Chaplain Donald Edgar Lott (79) went to his eternal reward, January 31, 2022.  Donald was born on September 30, 1942 in Denver, Colorado to Ernest and Annie Lott.  He grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Donald served the US Navy from December 1964 to September 1968.

Donald got married to love of his life, Maria Angela San Felipe in Philippines on August 18, 1988, with whom he shared 34 years.  Donald worked for Southwestern Bell currently AT&T for 32 years until his retirement in May 1999.

On Donald's retirement, he volunteered mentoring in Harris County Juvenile Detention Center and became the director of the mentoring program.  Donald was a volunteered Chaplain at Houston Police Department for 15 years.  He authored 3 volumes of "Peacemaker's Devotional", a 90 second Daily Devotional for Houston Police Department through The Houston Police Officer's Union in 2014.  He was a member of Gideon International.

Donald began his personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 8 and took great comfort in knowing where his eternal residence would be.  He was always ready on sharing Bible verse and a prayer to anyone who is willing to participate.  Donald was a member of University Baptist Church since 1991 together with Maria.

Donald is survived by his wife Maria. Surviving family members are; Brother: Daniel Lott and wife Carol of GIG Harbor, Washington. Sister: Betty Graf and husband John of Golden, Colorado. Mother-In-Law: Eva Ordinario. Sisters-In-Law: Everlyn Dalacat and husband Rogel, Esperanza Millare, both of Houston, Texas.  Nephews: Patrick Graf of Golden Colorado, Tim Lott and wife Sue of California, Sebastian Dalacat, Kurt Millare and wife Charlene of Houston, Texas. Nieces: Traci Gusta and husband David Mays of Huntington Beach, California, Michaella and Pauline Dalacat, Niza Regalado and husband Mike, Neg and Gabriele Millare all of Houston, Texas . Grandchildren: Lauren, Hunter, Olivia, Jackie and Chandler Lott of Califonia, Ashlee and Alyssa Castaneda of Huntington Beach, California, Athena, Ethan, Bella and Andrei Regalado of Houston, Texas.

Funeral services are 2:00pm Saturday February 5, 2022 at University Baptist Church in Clear Lake with visitation beginning at 12:00 Noon. Interment with Military Honors will be held at 10:45am Wednesday February 9, 2022 at Houston National Cemetery.
