Charles Edward Williams

Charles Edward Williams 73 of Galveston died Monday, April 24, 2023 at Jennie Sealy Hospital surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will begin 9 AM Saturday at the funeral home.

Born December 21, 1949 in Patterson, LA. to Burnie and Yvonne Williams. He graduated from Central High School, Class of 1968. He started his careers for the City of Galveston for 47 years, The fiberglass Plant and as a GISD School Bus Driver. Charles enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching Marshall Arts and wildlife television listening to Zydeco Music while sitting on the porch drinking soothing refreshments.

He is preceded in death by, his parents Burnie and Yvonne Williams, Sisters, Sandra Williams and Carol Polidore,

Survivors include wife of 50 years, Ann Williams; sons, Charles Williams, Jr. (Kim), Jared Harris (Danielle) and Goldie Williams.; Daughters, Katrina Williams Nichols (Damien) and Shiranda Harris. Sister, Yvonne Hypolite (Cyrus); brothers, Burnie Williams (Diane), Ronald Williams (Faye), Gerald Williams (Lisa), Reginald Williams (Danyella) and a host of grandchildren nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Elroy Thomas, Kevin Otems, Kim Singelton, Gerald Robinson, Richard Haynes.
