Christene Mae Goudeau Leslie passed away on May 19, 2024 in the comfort of her home in Galveston, TX. she was born on October 16, 1925 in Lebeau, LA to loving parents, Jules and Elizabeth Goudeau. Christene retired from UTMB after 25+ years of service as a unit clerk in the nursery.

Mrs. Leslie found solace and community within St. Patrick's Catholic Church where she was a member for over 60 years.

She is survived by her Granddaughter Elizabeth Webb, Great Grandson Kenderick Curtis and Randel Armelin, Great Granddaughters, Ashely Taylor, Karole Webb and Princess Harris, 5 great great grandsons Joshua, Christopher, Brayden, Kenderick and Kastin, great great granddaughters Chaiyah, Kenniyah, and Coya, and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jules and Elizabeth Goudeau, Brothers Acie Goudeau, Jules Goudeau, Oscar Goudeau, and Cyril Goudeau, sisters Eunice Haley, Shirley Meeks, Mary Frazier, and Victoria Mosley. Daughter Carol Mitchell, and grandchildren Kevin Deason and Djuana Johnson.

Memorial services will be held at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home 1201 23rd Street, Galveston, TX at 2 PM Saturday, May 25, 2024

Her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but we take comfort in knowing that Christene's legacy will live on through the memories she created with those whose lives she touched so deeply.
