Reflection of Life

Ciarra Danyell Moore, 34, of Galveston, Texas passed away Friday, November 15, 2019. Ciarra was born to Danny Ray Moore and Kim Rene Sweeny on November 7, 1985 in Galveston, Texas. She graduated from Ball High School in 2004. She was a mother to 3 year old, Samahij Kingston Moore, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a niece, a cousin, and a dearly cherished friend. Ciarra was a dedicated member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and graciously submitted her life to Him.

Ciarra worked at UTMB TDCJ Hospital, Procedure Holdover/Outpatient Infusion & Day Surgery Department. She was a Patient Care Technician with over 10 years of experience. Because of her years of experience and job-related knowledge, she participated in multiple unit improvement projects.

Ciarra was a business owner of Royal Purple Shield, LLC. Royal Purple Shield Publishing was her NEW DBA filed under her LLC just this past week. The business was created to publish books, magazines, newspapers, and so much more. It would have provided creative writing courses for both children and adults. Ciarra had so many uniquely exciting book ideas in the making. Her ultimate goal was to publicize relatable stories for the world to connect to on various levels. She was already a published author of two books, "Flesh vs Spirit" and "Life as We Grow".

She was a valuable member of "Sistahs Empowering Sistahs, Inc.", an organization that was a major part of her life since the beginning of its creation in which she brought laughter, love, and imaginative ideas like no other. In the short period of time from when she decided to become a business owner, Ciarra accomplished significant strides and achievements.

Ciarra loved her family and friends very much. She indeed was a giver and it brought her great joy to bring comfort and peace to others. She was extremely close to her mother, who she loved and spoke with and/or seen daily. She also had a very unique, special and individual bond with her father, brothers and sister. It was evident that there was no shortage of love between the ones closest to her.

Ciarra's most prized possession was her son, Samahij Kingston Moore. She loved him more than life itself. They had an unbreakable bond and their personalities were of such great similarity. Her continuous humor, entertaining spirit, and genuine love is what he encompasses just like his mom. Ciarra had dreams beyond this world for her son and committed her thoughts, words, prayers and caring actions to all that she desired for his future. She was filling him up with the best she had to give to become the best person he could be. Ciarra will continue to live and love through Samahij.

Survivors include her precious son, Samahij Moore, her father, Danny Ray Moore, her mother, Kim Sweeny, her brothers, Brandon Sweeny, Daris Moore, Danny Moore, Jr., her sister Shamel King, her niece, La'Maya Sweeny, her grandfather, Lionel Sweeny, Sr. (Maudry Sweeny-deceased), her Godmother, Arlene Josey, her cousin-sister and friend, Dana Sweeny and dear friends Tracie Calvin (Samahij's Godmother), Kisha Owens, Quinnette Cleveland, Louretta Nickerson, Keandra Parker and Nakia Giokas and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston, Texas on Friday, November 22 ^nd , from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.  The Funeral service will be Saturday, November 23 ^rd , 11:00 am at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home.
