In Loving Memory of Craig Alan Vogeler

With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Craig Alan Vogeler, who entered his Savior's presence on July 9, 2026, at the age of 69.

Born on January 26, 1957, in Ord, Nebraska, Craig was the cherished son of Donald and Gertrude Vogeler. He graduated from North Loup-Scotia High School in 1976 and went on to further his education in San Diego, California, where he earned a business/accounting degree. While in San Diego, he also served six years in the Navy as a Quartermaster. Craig was a highly successful businessman and entrepreneur.

Craig will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet strength, generous spirit, and wonderful sense of humor. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome and at ease, and his love for family and friends was evident in all he did. You can almost hear him say, "Just living the dream, baby," one of his favorite expressions. Craig was also affectionately known by his many friends in Galveston, Texas, as "Popcorn." His favorite hobbies were playing poker and spending time on the ocean.

Craig's greatest joy was his family. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Nancy Vogeler, of Galveston, Texas; his son, Jason Vogeler of  North Loup, Nebraska; his daughter, Jennifer Vogeler of Arnold, California; and his cherished grandchildren, Abrianna, Achilles, Ella, Callan, and Hendrix.

He is also survived by his brother, William Vogeler of North Loup, Nebraska; his sisters, Linda Penas of Lincoln, Nebraska, Vicky Johnson of Lexington, Kentucky, Colene (Merlyn) Williams of Atkinson, Nebraska, and his twin sister, Carol (Tom) Holt of Galveston, Texas. He leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Gertrude Vogeler.

In keeping with Craig's wishes, his ashes will be laid to rest at sea and on the family farm. Additional services in celebration of Craig's life are pending at this time.

Though he is no longer with us in this life, Craig's love, his example, and the countless memories he leaves behind will remain in our hearts forever. We thank God for the gift of his life and hold fast to the promise found in Christ—that one day we will be reunited in God's eternal kingdom.
