Cynthia Ann Mejia age 59 of LaMarque died Wednesday February 24, 2021 at HCA Houston- Kingwood Hospital in Kingwood, Texas. Funeral services are 6:30pm Saturday February 27, 2021 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.

Cynthia was born May 25, 1961 in Galveston to Cleto G. Yanes and Anita Marie Vargas. She was a caregiver in her employment and the best wife, mother and grandmother anyone could ask for. She loved her family and took great care of them. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling to the Casinos with her friends and family. She was known for her fabulous cooking skills and loved to share her talent serving her family. She will be greatly and sorely missed. Until we meet again you will be loved.

Preceded in death by her parents, survivors include her husband Louis Mejia, Jr; daughter Leslie Ann Mejia; son Louis Mejia, III and wife Ashley; sisters Anita Galicia and husband Tony, Mary Torres and husband Robert all of LaMarque and Margaret Nunez and husband Mauricio of San Antonio; brothers Cleto Yanes and wife Anna of LaMarque and Jesse Yanes and wife Maria of San Antonio; grandchildren Monica Saldana, Monique Saldana, Michael Mejia and Leigh Mejia; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
