Darrell Durand Charles passed away on May 29, 2024, at HCA Clear Lake, surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born November 12, 1963 in Galveston, Texas and he was a 1982 graduate of Ball High School. Darrell was a skier at Sea Arama in his younger years, and later he worked for T&T Marine Ways for 28 years of his life. He loved spending time with his beloved wife and family, but especially his Godchildren Camille and Caiya. Darrell was a faithful member of the Vida Team and a Life Group Leader, serving at the church he loved, New Life Fellowship Church of Galveston. Darrell is preceded in death by his mother Lovenia Charles, and his brothers Kevin Charles and Donnis Charles, Sr.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 28 years Vicki Marie Charles, his brother Levester Charles, Sr. (Bridget), sisters Patricia Charles, and Lynn Sykes (Robert), Nieces Dominyque Charles, Chanacey Rivera (Terrell), Alicia Perkins (Charles), Trinity Charles & Aaliyah Charles-Hollis. Nephews Levester Charles, Jr., Donnis Charles, Jr., Alonzo Hollis & Adonnis Hollis. Godchildren Camille and Caiya Perkins, and his pets Gizmo, Gabby, and Kelsey.

A Visitation will be held at New Life Fellowship Church 6328 Heards Lane, Galveston, Texas, on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M., followed directly by a Funeral Service at 6:30 P.M. Pastor David Gomez officiating.
