David Allen Armendariz

August 08, 1957 – February 05, 2025

David Allen Armendariz, affectionately known as "Pops" to his children, passed away unexpectedly at his home at the age of 67. He was known by many for his love of music and performing. He was a part of the band Down To Earth and performed at many venues including casinos and various clubs. He loved Galveston's beach, Karaoke and his family. He is proceeded in death by his mother Celia Diaz Garza, sisters Serena Ovalle and Josette Armendariz Batiste. He leaves to cherish his memory his father Joshua Armendariz, a beloved sister Sheila Ovalle Watts. His brothers Freddie and Joshua Armendariz, his children Michael and Nicolette Armendariz (Alfonso), Lisa Cordova, Jessalyn Armendariz, Monique Fulton, Dominique Bourgeois (Ceadric), Nicole Chambers, Steven Harrison, David and Adam Christopher Armendariz and Courtney Fox.  A host of beautiful grand and great grandchildren, and other cherished family and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 20th at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston at 10:00 A.M. with a funeral service to be held at 11:00 A.M. and burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Galveston
