HUSBAND FATHER  PAPA BROTHER FAMILY FRIEND

David Lee McBeth III, of Texas City, Texas, peacefully entered eternal rest on August 21, 2026. Born on April 18, 1961, in Galveston, Texas, David was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Muriel McBeth, and his father, David Lee McBeth II. Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon , Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am Saturday.

David was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose life was defined by love, generosity, and service. For 43 years, he shared a beautiful marriage with his wife, Marsha Denise McBeth the love of his life. Together, they built a family that brought him endless pride, joy, and cherished memories.

A dedicated public servant, David faithfully served the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for 31 years, advancing through the ranks from Officer to Sergeant and ultimately Lieutenant. He also proudly served as a longshoreman at the Port of Galveston intermittently 44 years. Alongside his distinguished career in public service, David also owned and operated David's Lawn Care Service, reflecting his strong work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to serving others.

He was a compassionate, dependable man who believed in putting others first and lending a helping hand whenever he could. Known for his unforgettable laugh, warm smile, and kind heart, David had a way of making everyone feel welcome. He enjoyed great music, his famous barbecue, his favorite Levi's jeans, a good pair of Converse, and football on Sundays. You could always hear him proudly say, "How bout them Cowboys, whew!" Above all, David cherished his family and the moments they created together.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Marsha Denise McBeth of Texas City, Texas; his two daughters, Tiffany McBeth of lowa Colony, Texas and Torie Washington of McKinney, Texas; his son-in-law, George Washington Sr.; his seven grandchildren, Cadence Washington, Cornellius Jefferson II, Tayllor Jefferson, George Washington Jr., Layla Harris, Logan Harris, and Nhandi Washington; his two brothers, Arnold Banks of Richmond, Texas, and Dewey Banks of La Marque, Texas; his three sisters, Jann Compton of Galveston, Texas: Jackie Banks of Texas City, Texas; and Elizabeth Kennedy (Vernon "Coach") of Texas City. Texas; his two sisters-in-law, Lisa Brown of League City, Texas, and Gina Victor (Karl) of Missouri City, Texas; his loving father-in-law, Charles Edward Williams Sr of Missouri City, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

David's greatest legacy is the love he gave, the inspiration he fostered, the lives he touched, and the memories he created.

Though he will be deeply missed, his laughter, kindness, generosity, and spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
