GALVESTON, TX – Dayle Armand Brignac, beloved son, sibling, father, husband, and friend to many passed away peacefully on Saturday
afternoon, June 22nd due to complications from liver cancer. He was 80 years old and in his own words, had lived a full and blessed life, had
loved and been loved, and was ready to go home.

Dayle was born November 8th, 1943 in Baton Rouge, La. and spent most of his childhood and early adult years in Convent, La., along with his mother and father and his five loving siblings, often helping out in the family store while attending Romeville High School. In 1965, he married Janis Hagan of Baker, La. where they made a wonderfully chaotic home and raised 3 sons on mini-bikes, bass fishing, 8 track tape music, and youth sports, as he worked in various jobs including, drummer in a band, night club management and Po-boy shop owner. He then settled into the Petrochem industry, first as a welder before moving into piping design, primarily with Jacobs Industries in Baton Rouge for over twenty years. All while serving as the worst umpire in the history of Dixie Youth Baseball and the best jambalaya cook in south Louisiana. Upon retirement in 2009, he relocated with Jan to Sea Isle on the west end of Galveston Island. After her passing in 2019, he spent his final years living with his son Robbie and Daughter in Law Laurie on the shore of West Galveston Bay in Terramar Beach. There, he terrorized the trout and redfish population, along with the tires of his Dodge Challenger, while putting over a thousand hours on the engine of his beloved yellow, Blue Wave Purebay in his final 5 years. He never passed on an opportunity to tell his family how much he loved them and share with everyone he came across how blessed he was to have such an abundance of loving friends and family. His humor and big personality gave him the innate ability to leave a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Our dad Dayle was preceded in death by his mother Gertrude Dornier Brignac, his father Adolph Brignac, his wife Jan Brignac, son Ryan
Brignac, brother Leo Brignac and sister Ginette Scioneaux. He is survived by his brother Wayne Brignac of Prairieville, La., his sister
Brenda Williams of Gonzales, La., and his sister Marlyn Torres of Garyville, La as well as son Robert Brignac and Daughter in Law Laurie
Brignac of Galveston, TX and son Richard Brignac of Clear Lake, TX. He is also survived by his three grandchildren Drew Brignac of Orange, TX,
Hannah Medick of Mandeville, La, and Hagan Brignac of Atlanta, Ga as well as four great grandchildren, Indie Brignac of Steamboat Springs, CO
and Peter Medick, Ryan Medick, and Sheppard Medick of Mandeville, La.

Services will be held at 10am Friday, June 28 th at West Isle Presbyterian. After cremation, and in accordance with his wishes, his remains will be
placed in the boat basin at Terramar Beach where, in spirit, he can be among his many friends and family as they enjoy, as he did, the salt air,
tight lines, and time on the water. I love you Dad and will miss you dearly.
