Dimitrije
Gudovski
Dec 14, 1988 — Dec 25, 2022
Galveston
GALVESTON Dimitrije Gudovski age 34 of Galveston died Christmas Sunday December 25, 2022, at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Dimitrije was born December 14, 1988, in Novi sad, Serbia. Dimitrije was employed by The Rainforest Cafe Restaurant in Galveston and had many friends. He will be laid to rest at Centralno Groblje, Futog Serbia. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston.
He leaves behind his mother Zagorka Stojanovic Gudovski, father Gligorije Gudovski, sister Dijana Gudovski and friends with a great loss. He learned to read at the age of 4, started playing basketball at the age of 7, basketball was his passion and at the age of 23 it led him on a big journey to the United States where he moved to study and chase his dreams.
It was a huge step for a shy and really modest guy from a small town in northern Serbia. It was a big change and huge struggle, but he did manage to graduate from Malone University, and made everyone at home proud!
His family and Friends in Serbia know him as a very humble guy with a few best friends, shy and not open to the world. His friends in America know him as the complete opposite; as this tall, handsome, confident, talkative and people friendly guy, someone that never walks away from conversation, and is always there to give his opinion on any subject.
One thing is for sure, everyone knows him as a person with a good heart, always ready to help, and never complains. He is known as someone who brings positive energy, and always has a joke or two up his sleeve. It really is a shame to lose a person with such amazing ability. He was someone that was loved by everyone he knew, and I mean every single person. If he could speak to us right now, he would apologize a million times to all of us. He would say that it was never his intention to leave us, to leave us with broken hearts, and trust me he would find a way to somehow make all that sound funny.
What matters most now is that he is in Heaven, a better place, and trust me when I tell you they had to do some major arrangements up there, to make a space for a big guy like Dimitrije, a big guy with an even bigger heart!
