Eddie Woodrow
Blankenship, Jr.
May 12, 1988 — Jan 4, 2021
Dickinson
Eddie Woodrow Blankenship, Jr passed away into the arms of our Lord on Monday, January 4, 2021, in Dickinson, Texas.
He was born on May 12, 1988 in Webster, Texas to Eddie, Sr. and Kim Blankenship. Eddie lived life to the beat of his own drum. He was always looking for a new adventure and liked to find trouble along the way. When Eddie set his mind to something, he gave it one hundred percent, whether it was construction, electrical, cars, or just working on projects in the garage. Eddie was someone you could always count on to be there if you needed him. He was a great friend to many and prided himself on being a mama's boy until the end.
When his daughter Cheyenne was born in 2016, his life found a new beautiful focus. Born at only 25 weeks, Eddie devoted his life to caring for her and her needs. He became an expert in trach care, medical equipment, doctor appointments, and therapy sessions. He made sure his little "Peanut" had everything she needed, and she is thriving today because of him.
He is proceeded in death by his father, Eddie Blankenship, Sr. Survivors include his beloved daughter, Cheyenne Marie; mother, Kim; grandparents, Bennie and Melba Taylor; sisters, Alesha Wernli and Meagan Guerrero; brother-in-law, John Guerrero; nephews, Andrew Jackson, Jackson Guerrero, Easton Guerrero, Hudson Guerrero; niece, Emma Wernli; and countless aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be Friday, January 8, 2021 for family from 5-6 and all others from 6-8. Funeral services will be Saturday January 9, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, 1201 23 rd Street, Galveston, Texas. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in League City.
