A Life Well Lived

On September 28, 1931 in Midfield Texas, a precious gift of God, was given to John S. Temple Sr. and Zola Luella Jones Temple as they welcomed their handsome baby boy into their family and lovingly named him, Eddie Eugene.

Eddie Eugene, fondly known as "Eugune or Uncle U", received his education in the public schools of Galveston, Texas, attending Ms. Brown's kindergarten class and later proudly graduating from the Central High School Bear Cats, Class of June 1948. During his high school years After graduating, he joined The United States Army, serving 4 years. Eugene was a journeyman electrician and a master carpenter by trade.

Eugene was united in holy matrimony with Nora Kim Vialpando, and they were blessed with eight children.

Eugene's spiritual journey began when he accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized as a member of the Spiritual True Church in Galveston, Texas, by the late Rev. J.W. Barber, in the Gulf of Mexico (Galveston Beach). His dedication continued as a devoted member, and his commitment earned him the honor of being ordained as a Deacon under the current leadership of Pastor H. Jerry Temple. His remarkable leadership and loyalty were evident in his roles as a FAITHFUL Drummer to the STC Senior and Youth Choir. His Volunteer and Seasoned Saints Generosity and kindness inspired countless lives, as he was always ready to share words of encouragement, make changes and share with everyone. In his leisure time, he loved being outside. He loved bonding with his family, working hard and tirelessly throughout the community, fixing and repairing homes, staying active, as he did landscape and lawn care in the community.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me Philippians 4:13.

Deacon Eddie Eugene was called from earthly labor to his heavenly reward on Friday afternoon December 5th 2025, as a testament of his unwavering faith.
