Edwin Rene Arevalo age 42 of Galveston died Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at UTMB in Galveston. Funeral services are 10:00am Wednesday February 2. 2022 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Galveston. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm where a vigil will be held at 6:30pm.

Edwin was born March 27, 1979 in San Salvador, El Salvador. He was a hard-working man employed as a construction contractor and an excellent heavy equipment operator. He was a man of faith who placed his trust in God. He was a good man and provider for his family. He enjoyed working on Classic Cars, playing video games with his kids and taking them to movies. He will be dearly missed.

Preceded in death by his father John Hall and cousins Nelson Yanes and Fredy Canales; survivors include his mother Orfilia Yanes; sons Oscar Arevalo of Galveston and Jaiden Arevalo of League City; daughter Helena Arevalo of League City; grandkids Layla and Isaac Arevalo; aunts Maritza Yanes and Elizabeth Yanes; cousins Robert, Wendy, Carolina, Victor Tobar and Victor Alvarez; numerous other relatives and many friends.
