GALVESTON Edzgar Salvador Solis age 58 of Galveston passed away Monday November 4, 2019 at his residence in Galveston. Funeral Mass is 9:00am Saturday November 9, 2019 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm where a rosary will be recited at 6:30pm.

Born February 9, 1961 in Melchor Ocampo, N.L., Mexico to Pedro Solis and Manuela Ramos, "Lolo" as he was affectionately known was a devoted family man. He was a professional crane operator building many bulkheads and construction projects in and around the area for many years. He loved to work and was very skilled operating farm and heavy equipment. He was a wonderful husband, father and great provider for his family. May he rest in peace.

Preceded in death by his parents and a brother Homero Solis survivors include his wife of 33 years Elisa Solis; daughter Vicky Solis and Francis Vu; son Edzgar Solis and fiancé Jacqueline all of Galveston; sisters Margarita Solis and husband Ernesto of Melchor Ocampo, Mexico, Maria San Juana Gonzalez and husband Miguel of Galveston, Leticia Solis of Cerralvo, Mexico and Tomasa Solis of Galveston; brothers Roberto Solis and wife Nilda of Melchor Ocampo, Mexico, Pedro Solis, Sr. and wife Josefina of League City, Gerardo Solis and wife Gris of Galveston, Javier Solis and wife Alicia of LaMarque and Antonio Solis and wife Criselda of San Antonio; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
