Ellen Lou Cummings Decker age 70 of Dickinson died Wednesday March 16, 2022 at Methodist Hospital in Houston. Memorial services are 11:00am Friday March 25. 2022 at Church of the Living God in Galveston.

Ellen was born April 25, 1951 in Lufkin, Texas.  She was a devoted wife and a second mother to the many children that she babysat over the years. She attended college in Lake Jackson studying Journalism. After college she became born again and enrolled in Sheep Fold a discipleship school. While in school she found a love for and a gift for cooking, especially larger groups. She really excelled in her studies and her work. She became known as a wonderful, sweet and loving Christian lady. She met her husband and they were married September 15, 1975 in Beaumont, Texas between two Elm Trees. She then became certified in Child Care. Her husband Bob worked in construction traveling and she ran the home front.

Her husband, the love of her life referred to her as a sweet blossoming flower. She had an eye for photography and loved to take pictures. Her life was spent in servitude to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be missed by the many fellow Christian friends and church family.

Survivors include her adoring husband of 46 years Robert "Bob" Decker; sisters Kathy Mossick and husband Harvey and Betty Gail Thacker; brothers Bill Franklin and wife and Mitch Franklin; nieces Katrina and Meagan Mossick, numerous nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
