GALVESTON, TX — Eric Francis Willmore Sr., age 76, residing in Galveston, TX passed away peacefully Friday August 26, 2022 at his family home.

Eric was born July 6, 1946 in Boca Raton, FL, to Wanda Maria Gonzalez Willmore and Charles Edward Willmore. He grew up in Humacao, Puerto Rico. He was married to his wife Alcira (Elsie) Willmore for 52 years. He served 22 years in the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He also served 23 years in the Army Corps of Engineers. Eric received numerous awards for his service in the Army and the Corps. He enjoyed time with family, traveling, music, dancing, photography, birdwatching, however his passion in life was fishing.

He is survived by his wife Alcira, children: Maria Luisa Wilde, Eric Francis Willmore Jr, and Marilyn Anthea Willmore, as well as 5 grandchildren: Allison Wilde, Jezzlyn Garcia, Jalian Wilde, Oren Willmore and Militza Willmore; siblings: Charles Edward Willmore and Steve James Willmore, sister Marilyn Willmore Dubon and many other nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his firstborn son Johnny Willmore, his mother Wanda Maria Gonzalez Willmore and Charles Edward Willmore, grandparents Francisco Gonzalez Carmona, and Maria Luisa Oliver Gonzalez.

He will truly be missed by all.
