Ernest Eugene Farrow, III age 72 of Galveston, TX entered glory while surrounded by his loving family Saturday April 3, 2021 at his residence in Galveston. Memorial services with military honors will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Moody Memorial First United Methodist Church in Galveston, Reverend Alicia Besser officiating. The family will hold a private burial at The Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
Ernest was born on February 14, 1949 in Dallas, Texas to parents Ernest (Ace) Eugene Farrow II and Mary Lou Holmes Sanford Farrow. He was a 1967 graduate of Hilcrest High School and went on to the University of Texas at Austin. Although he graduated from East Texas State University in Commerce, TX, he remained a Longhorn at heart. Ernest was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his country honorably as a Sgt E-5 during the Vietnam War. He and his wife, Michelle Farrow, have been active members of Moody Methodist Church, participating in the Wesley Sunday School class.
Preceded in death by his parents, survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Michelle Farrow, daughter Vanessa Farrow, step son Steven Horne and wife Karyn, sister Carol Farrow, brothers Jim, Bruce and wife Vicki Farrow, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ernest came into this life on Valentine's Day and left it on the final countdown to Heaven, 4.3.21.
