Frances S. Dunham, 93, departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 24, 2021 at 8:50 a.m.

Funeral serviceswill be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26 ^th at First Baptist Church Galveston, Texas with Rusty Carnes officiating.  Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas under the direction of the Carnes Brothers Funeral Home of Galveston.

Frances was born on June 16, 1928 to Vincent and Nellie San Martino in Dickinson, Texas.  While in middle school and high school, she lettered in volleyball, tennis, and softball.   She graduated in 1946 as the class valedictorian. Then, after 36 years of service at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Galveston, she decided it was time to retire.  A faithful member of First Baptist Church in Galveston for over 74 years,  she taught 4 ^th , 5 ^th , and 6 ^th grade Bible Class, Friendship International, and ESL classes.  She was also involved in youth training union classes, choir, WMU , and  Jolly Elders.

Frances was preceded in death by:   her parents Vincent and Nellie San Martino;  her beloved husband of 58 years, Herbert Elsworth Dunham;  her sisters:  Josephine Gill,  Mary San Martino,  Annie San Martino, Jean Britt;  her brothers:  Steve San Martino,  Louis San Martino,  Johnnie San Martino,  Angelo San Martino,  Lutio San Martino, Noonzy San Martino,  Joe San Martino, Morris San Martino,  and Maurice San Martino.

Left to cherish her memory are:  her only child, Donna Dean Lindsey; granddaughters:  Sadie Lane Lindsey-Robledo and husband Brandon Robledo, Dara Frances Lindsey, grandson, Asa Dean Lindsey and wife Angel; great grandchildren:  Axel Dean Lindsey (Dara), Asher Dean Lindsey (Asa) ,  and Ellison Frances Robledo (Sadie);  special nieces:  Deberah Lynn Black,  Diane Denise Brown;  and a host of special cousins, and special friends.  In her own words, "They were ALL loved, and they ALL had a special place in her life!"

Pallbearers are: Ron Lindsey, Asa Lindsey, Danny McLemore, David McLemore, Brandon Robledo, Brendon Barrett.
