Frances Marie Milson, daughter of the late Louis Buckley and Charles James was born March 2, 1936, in Galveston, Texas. She attended the public schools of Galveston Independent School District. She received Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Texas City, Texas. She loved attending bible study and was a active member of the Senior Star Ministry.
Frances lived a long and fruitful life. She had 11 children and over 100 grand, great grand, and great-great grandchildren combined. The things in life besides her family and friends that brought her joy was bowling, fishing, and gardening. Her spirit was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved so well, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.
She quietly departed this life Wednesday August 31, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Linda Lacy-Beckworth, son Charles Lacy Sr, son James Hall, 8 brothers and 6 sisters.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children; ML Mayfield(Joe), Doris Bowser, Annette Smith, Lonnie Hall, Sandra Hall(Michael), Demetrius Hall, Ginger McNair(Trey), Frances Owens, Jamie Bailey(Chris), Marquitta Lacy, Melvin Love, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, her dedicated and devoted brother Leon Jules Sr., a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Pallbearers are Lonnie Hall, Demetrius Hall, D'Mentrie Lacy Sr., Charles Lacy Sr., Jonathon Villareal and Melvin Love
Honorary Pallbearers are D'Marcus Lacy Sr., Lloyd Lacy, Melvin Petteway, Demarshay Lacy, Franco Frazier Jr., Andre Sanders Jr., and Chris Bailey.
A visitation service will be held from 4:00pm-7:00pm Wednesday September 14, 2022, at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston, Texas. On Thursday, September 15, 2022 there will be a viewing from 9:00am-11:00am and funeral services to start immediately after at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church 316 S. Pine Road, Texas City, TX 77590. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery 3015- 57 th Street, Galveston, Texas 77551. A Repast Reception will follow burial at "The Wilbrydge" 2702 Avenue L, Galveston, Texas 77550.
