Gena-B Basnett age 66 died Tuesday November 28, 2023 at her residence in League City. Graveside services are 1:00pm Friday, December 1, 2023 at the Serbian Orthodox Cemetery in Galveston under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home.

Gena was born June 26, 1957 in Dallas, Texas to George Earl Kelly and Achsah Gray Kelly. She was a school teacher and a wonderful wife, mother and sister who will be greatly missed and forever loved.

Survivors include her beloved husband Chris Basnett; daughters Sarah Mauricio and Lilah Holt; sons, Enoch Basnett and Elijah Basnett; sisters Kelly Brown and Georgia Fitzhugh and 11 grandchildren.
