Genevieve Yvonne Miller Monteau age 93 of Port Bolivar, Texas passed away Tuesday January 2, 2024, at The Reserve at Pasadena. Funeral services are 11:00am Saturday January 6, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Port Bolivar. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00am.  Burial will follow at Port Bolivar Cemetery under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home.

Genevieve was born December 28, 1930, at St. Mary's Hospital in Galveston, Texas to Thomas Morgan Miller, Sr. and Vera Viva Shaw Miller. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She devoted her life to her family and her church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Vera Miller, her devoted husband Richard S. Monteau, Jr., son Richard S. Monteau, III; siblings, Thomas Morgan Miller, Jr., Vera Young and Wesley Miller and 2 great grandchildren Adrienne and Logan.

Survivors include her daughters Sheila Grizzle, Pamela Lambert and husband David and Kimberly Wager; grandchildren Stacy, Wesley, Charlie, Chris, Aimee, Chad, Rachel, Holly, Samantha, Tori, Dustin, Cody and Chance; 22 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Wesley Grizzle, Chris Lambert, Charlie Grizzle and Chad Monteau.
