Georgeann E. "Cookie" Koepp Hadley, 82, of Galveston, TX, was welcomed home by our Lord on April 10, 2026, peacefully at home.

She was born on December 2, 1943, in Galveston, TX, to parents who gave her the grit and heart she carried her whole life.

She probably would've laughed at the idea of anyone making a fuss over her. But the truth is, every room she walked into got a little louder, a little warmer, and a little more fun. She was tough, she was tireless, and she never met a stranger she didn't eventually call a friend.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Tomas Flores; grandchildren, Cody Milligan, Brittney McGee, Robert Milligan, George Milligan, Joshua Leverett, and Kassi Lyness; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Kelly Kay Milligan and Michelle Gail Lemcke, and her son, Earnest Eugene Milligan. She never stopped missing them, not for a single day.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to her caregiver, Carr Smith, who walked alongside her these past couple of years with patience, love, and grace.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 from 5-8pm, at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston.
