Howard Lee Hall Jr. age 25 of Texas City died Saturday May 4, 2019 in Texas City. Funeral services are 11:00am with visitation at 9:00am Saturday May 18, 2019 at Greater Bell Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Reverend Jerry B. Lee, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Rising Star Cemetery under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home.

Howard was born August 27, 1993, to Howard and Jeanette Watson Hall. He was not born in Texas, but he got here as soon as he could. As a military child, Howard lived several places before eventually settling in West Texas City, which became his home. There is probably no one who loved his neighborhood more than Howard did, and from the time he was a young boy, you could find him on either Park Avenue or Anderson Street with his friends.  Howard received his education in the La Marque Independent School District where in middle school he discovered his passion for music, and he joined the band. Howard was a talented percussionist and devoted many years to the La Marque High School marching band.

Howard accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at Greater Bell Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Jerry B. Lee, Jr. He served in the audio and music ministry at the church.

Howard lived by the work hard, play hard motto. He had a great work ethic, and always tried to give his best wherever he was employed.  In his free time, he loved to go out to eat, spend time with his family and friends, and spend some of that hard earned money shopping.

Although Howard was not big in stature, he had the biggest personality. If you met him, you never forgot him. He could have you laughing to the point of tears one moment, and in the next drop a nugget of wisdom. That was Howard. He did not fit a mold, and that is what made him so special.

Consider yourself blessed if Howard let you in his world. He loved his family and friends, and he always made sure that he kept in touch with everyone.  Howard was loyal and loving, and never gave up on anyone that was special to him. When you were with him, you could rest easy as if you were with an old friend.

Howard's time here on earth was far too short, but during that time, he made a huge impact. He loved, showed care, gave what he had, and made people happy. We were blessed to have him.

Left to mourn his passing are parents Howard Hall and Jeanette Watson Hall, Aunts Dorothy Parnell, Joyce (Curtis) Ellis, Brenda Grant; Uncles Booker T. (Mildred) Watson, Edward Hall, David Hall; a host of cousins; Godmother Bobbi Whitaker, the Caligone family, and his West Texas City family.

Pallbearers are De' Corian Caligone, Damon Caligone, Josh Carter, Dontralle Belle, Eric Turner, Kordell Johnson, Honorary Pallbearers are Derrick Parnell, Terrance Ellis-Hardeman, LaDarrian Ellis-Jones, Dunte' Henderson.
