James Edward Lacy Hall age 65 of LaMarque died September 2, 2021 at his residence. Funeral services are 11:00am Saturday September 11. 2021 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Galveston. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00pm until 7:00pm where a wake will be held from 7:00pm until 8:00pm.
A lifelong BOI, James was born July 1, 1956 in Galveston, Texas. He was a hard-working man that loved his family fiercely. He was a member of the Ball High School Class of 1974. James worked in various jobs throughout Galveston including Temptations Night Club, City of Galveston waste Department, as an Electrician Apprentice and finally for Jake at Oceans Food Store. He was a member of St. Luke's Missionary Baptist Church where he was baptized, and is now resting with the Angels.
Preceded in death by his grandmother Celestine Hall; sister Linda Lacy Beckworth; brother Charles Lacy; son Jeremy Villarreal; aunt Warretta Hall Willis; cousin; Charles Pettaway, devoted friend Lionel "Spots" Holmes; cousin Elwayne Joseph Matthews.
Survivors include wife of 40 years Linda Villarreal; father James Lonnie Hall; mother Frances Marie Hall Milson; daughters Ashley Villarreal, Mariana Villarreal, Tracy Jones, Sherita Green, Dee Dee Landor and Keisha Allen; sons James Villarreal, Jonathan Villarreal, Joshua Villarreal, Reynaldo Villarreal, Ryan Villarreal and Melencio Villarreal; sisters Ginger McNair, Doris Bowser, Annette Smith, Frances Hall, Sandra Hall, M.L. Mayfield, Jamesha Burns, Lonnesha Burns, Tina Burns, Robin Jordan, Yolanda Blake Richardson, brothers Demetrice Hall, Lonnie Hall, cousins; Brock Petteway, Elaine Hall and Cleo Hunter devoted friends Mike Henry and Jake George and wife Soupy; a host of grandchildren, Aubriana, James, Axel, Mazi, Joshua, Jr., Katalaia, Jayden, Aries, Aundre, Quentinae, Dayshia, Joseph, Briana, J'Quaie, Remy, James, Dylan and Tevin; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Pallbearers are Lonnie Hall, Mike Henry, James Villarreal, Jonathan Villarreal, Joshua Villarreal, Reynaldo Villarreal, Ryan Villarreal, Quinton Malone and Jake George.
