James Randolph "Randy" Smart, 72, went into the arms of Jesus October 16, 2025.  Randy was born to Harold and Johnnie Smart in Port Arthur, Texas, on October 8, 1953.  Randy was a skilled construction worker, lover of fishing and hunting, and was a fierce drummer.  Randy is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Linda Smart Boutin.  Randy is survived by his brother, Joe S. Smart & wife, Susan "El," of Chester, Texas.  Randy is also survived by nephews Jeremi Smart & wife, Jillian, Galveston, Texas; David Smart & wife, Sonia, Austin, Texas; Cade Fletcher of Nederland, Texas; and, niece, Kelly Lee & husband, Keith, of Lumberton, Texas.  Also, left behind is Randy's trusting best 4 legged friend, Newby.  Special thank you to Many Quebedeaux and Jennifer Weiss.  There will be a private family gathering to bury Randy's urn at a later date.
