James Edward Winter, Sr. age 69 of LaMarque died Tuesday June 22, 2021 at his residence in LaMarque. Memorial services and scattering of his ashes at sea are 5:30pm Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Aqua Safaris Charters at Pier 19 in Galveston.

James was born May 24, 1952 in Corsicana, Texas to Daniel D. Winter and Valda Jean Bullington Winter. He was a veteran of the U. S. Amy serving his country honorably. He was the owner of Winter's Equipment Repair, Inc. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and time spent on the water. He was a hard working man and good provider for his family.

Preceded in death by his parents and sister Bonita Sue Winter Smith, survivors include his wife of more than 50 years Connie Lee Winter; sons Jimmy Winter and wife Sharon of Lake Tawakoni and Chris Winter and wife Hope of Azle, Texas; sister Kathie Winter Moore of Quinlan; 6 grandchildren Kaylyn Fisher and husband Cole, Christian Thomas Winter, Jacob Winter, Reese Winter, Aspen Winter and Cash McFatridge; great grandson Blaze Fisher.
