Jeffery Alan Douglas, Jr. age 40 of LaMarque passed away January 14, 2021 in Texas City. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00pm Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00am Saturday. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock.
Jeffery Alan Douglas, Jr. was born to the union of Jeffery Alan Douglas, Sr. and Eulla Ward Douglas on December 20, 1980 in Galveston, Texas. He attended Ball High School, class of 1999. Jeffery was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend to many. He loved life and doing things with his kids. He worked in and out of the Petrochemical Plants. He was also a member of ILA Local 1504-8 in Galveston.
He is preceded in death by his father Jeffery Alan Douglas, Sr.; his brother Anthony Jerome Ward; his grandmother Perline Hockley; great grandmother Marie Lee; grandfathers Floyd Douglas, Sr. and Gilbert Ward; uncles Floyd Douglas, Jr. and Alfred Wilcox; aunts Dorothy Ward Bernard, Helen Ward Goodlow, Ronna Douglas and Bernadene Dergin.
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife Brooke Douglas; mother Eulla Ward Douglas; his children Jeffery Douglas, III, Desiree Douglas, Ryli Douglas and Jayce Alan Douglas; his brother Thomas Ward; grandmothers Cassanna Howard and Juanita Lestrick; mother in law Mia Spiller; sisters Yalunda Ward (Reginal) and Alesha Ward ( Lindsey); aunts Tracy Hockley Pleasant (Joseph), Alfreda Washington (Ronald), Sue Haynes, Sharon Guidry (Emery), Barbara Cloudy (Howard) and Betty Dergin; uncles George Higgins (Paulette), Gilbert Dergin (Clara) and Harold Dergin; devoted cousins Robin BayBay Johnson, Robert Hockley, Rodrick Hockley, Jasmine Turner, Chantell Dergin, Carleshia Johnson and Cherisse Lamb; devoted friends Natalie Thomas, Yvonne Jackson, Evelyn Phillips, Chris Faison, Peddis Ray, Jr., Rudy Borens, Tai Benson, Lucas Willis, Author Wynn, Jerry Richard, Derrick Bland, Shummer Bland, Renard Kirksey, Mack Wilson, James Henderson (Woods) and Marty Ruiz; god mother Paulette Harris; god-brother Herman Harris, Robert Harris and Brian Harris; devoted sister-in-law Maisha Hardy. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that he loved so much as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
