John Edwin Bostock age 75 of Galveston died Sunday July 31,2022 at UTMB Hospital in Galveston. Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 9, 2022 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston. A Masonic Graveside service will be held 10:00am Wednesday August 10, 2022 at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas.

John Edwin Bostock was born in London, England on the 28 ^th of February 1949 at approximately 6.30pm to John (Jack) William Bostock and Gladys May Bostock (Lench). He had two older sisters, Patricia Margaret and Barbara Anne. He leaves two children, his beloved daughter Donna, his "mini-me" son John and three grandchildren. He was a scientist, minister, writer, comedian, musician, singer, Actor, etc., he was also a dedicated and highly thought of Freemason, member of Brondesbury Lodge No.2698 in London, England, Tucker Lodge No.297 and Harmony Lodge No.6 in Galveston and La Marque Lodge No.1325 in La Marque. He was a Past Master of both his London Lodge and Tucker Lodge; He was a member of MENSA.

John had a strong belief in the love of God. His beliefs mirrored those of Sir Isaac Newton, Thomas Jefferson, and other non­-Trinitarians.  He felt strongly that the established Christian Churches had strayed far away from the truth. He was a strong advocate for freedom of choice, freedom of thought and freedom of action.

John would be the first to say how happy it made him when helping others, meeting people, sitting with his brothers in the Masonic Lodge and playing in the band Fish Naked with his friends.

John often said how lucky he was being born when he was; able to see so many things that changed history; colour TV, man landing on the moon, computers, the first woman Prime Minister in the UK, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the fall of communism, the discovery of other planets in other solar systems, and of course, The Beatles etc.

He was happy with the life he had, although he wished it could have been longer so he could have done more, helped more, made more people laugh, brought more people to the God he knew, and been a better person. He will miss us.

We commend him as the good person he was to God's safe keeping.
