John Gregory Orellana age 41 of Galveston passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024, at his residence. Funeral services are 6:30pm Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home with visitation from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.

John was born on February 11, 1983 in Galveston, TX to Rebecca Perez and Edwin Orellana. He grew up in Tampa, FL where he spent many weekends at the beach with family. He enjoyed traveling to Guatemala and spending time with his extended family there. Galveston became his permanent home in 1999, where he got baptized and became a member of The Church of Jesus-Christ of the Latter-day Saints. He was a self-taught mechanic who loved working on cars and riding his motorcycle.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Ana Jovita and Juan Orellana; Isabel and Gregorio Perez and his older sister, Ana Rebecca Orellana.

He is survived by parents, Edwin R Orellana, wife Teresa; mother Rebecca Perez. Siblings Claudia and Henry Orellana, Ruben Avila, Amanda Camacho, Domingo Rodas and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
