Johnny Keith Collins "Amigo Johnny" passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025, in Key West, Florida. Johnny was born on July 20,1948, to Carl T. Collins and Betty Zane Harwell in Waco, Texas. Johnny lived life to the fullest, he served his country in the US Army from June 11,1968 till June 10, 1970 in the Vietnam War. In 1971 he moved to Galveston Island where he met his loving wife Mary Lou. The moment he said "hello" she knew he was the one. They shared 45 wonderful years of marriage.

Johnny was a proud Charter member of the Galveston Chapter Amigo's Motorcycle Club. He started the Amigo's in Galveston on October 24,1994. He served as the President for twelve years. Johnny was called "AMIGO JOHNNY". He loved his biker family.

He served as a Trustee for the American Legion Post 20 in Galveston, Texas which he loved and was very proud of.

Johnny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and a friend to many. He loved his family very much and was very proud of them. He was their "HERO". Johnny enjoyed riding his motorcycle, taking trips, spending time with the biker brothers, and making memories with the love of his life Mary Lou., He will be deeply missed by many.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents Carl T. Collins and Betty Zane Harwell, son - Robert "Chico" Sanchez, sister- Nancy Heylin and Pat Pack, grandparents John Henry and Winnie Marion Harwell.

Johnny leaves behind his loving wife, Mary Lou Collins, sons - Armando Sanchez Jr., Jason Collins and daughter- Priscilla Collins (Donald Stahl); an Uncle Homer Harwell and wife Betty; along with seven grandchildren Loren Sanchez, Alyson Sanchez, Alyssa Sanchez, Victoria Sanchez, Benjamin Shumate, Mariona Negrini and Isabella Negrini and five great-grandchildren Jayden Alvarez, Ian Alvarez, Audrina Alvarez, Jeremiah Alvarez and Jaydren Alvarez.

A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, beginning 1pm-3pm at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, 1201 23rd Street, Galveston, Tx 77550
