Jose Reynaldo Martinez, 67, born in El Salvador passed away on Thursday, June 12th, 2025, peacefully surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Jose was a hardworking, loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved working in carpentry, spending time with his grandchildren and never missing a game of his favorite team, the Houston Astros. His favorite hobbies were painting, gardening, listening to music, and watching ball games.

Jose was a long time devoted catholic and member of Queen of Peace and St. Patrick's Church, Holy Family Parish. His immense faith followed him through his life until the very end.

He is survived by his loving wife Maria Martinez (Rosa) of 46 years, daughter Janette Martinez Aguilar (Michael), and sons Reynaldo Martinez JR (Alexis) and Jaime Martinez. 7 grandchildren; Mariana and Marissa Aguilar, Olivia, Axel, Gabriella, Christian Rafael, and Isabel Martinez.

Jose's life will be celebrated in a rosary service on Friday, June 20th, 2025, at 6:30 pm with visitation to begin at 5:00pm at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home 1201 23rd St, Galveston Tx. Family and friends are invited to honor his memory. A funeral mass will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, June 21st, 2025, with visitation at 11 am at St. Mary's Cathedral Basilica located at 2011 Church St. Followed by burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson, Tx.
