Jose Guadalupe Reyes, Sr. age 62 of Galveston died Saturday June 18`, 2022 at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City. Funeral services are 10:00am Monday June 27, 2022 with visitation beginning at 9:00am at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home.

"YoYo" as he was affectionately known was born November 18, 1959 in Galveston to Robert V. Reyes and Esther Silva Reyes. He was a 1978 graduate of Ball High School. He was a man of many talents working at the Cotton Compress for many years. He enjoyed fishing and playing Dominos and Poker while hanging out with his family. He was a man who held deep love for his family, especially his grandchildren and his many friends. His presence we will miss but his memory we will never forget.

Preceded in death by his parents; sons Jose Reyes, Jr. and Sam Nesbett, sister Esther "Nohnnie" Martinez; brothers Henry Morales and Robert Reyes; survivors include children Robert Reyes and wife April and Gregory Reyes and wife Solangel, sisters Esmerelda Silva and Hortensia Contreras and husband Gilberto ; brothers Gilbert Reyes, Johnny Reyes and wife Dinah, Raymond Reyes and wife Belinda and Richard Reyes; 24 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
