Born in Galveston, Texas on November 1, 1940, to Margaret and Joseph Dolfi, Sr., Joe grew up on Galveston’s East End. He attended Sacred Heart Church Elementary School and Kirwin High School, where he graduated as Salutatorian of the Class of 1958.
Joe continued his education at Texas A &M, earning a degree in Accounting, in 1962. Following graduation, he accepted a commission in the US Air Force where he proudly served as a radar navigator aboard B-52 bombers. He attained the rank of Captain before leaving military service in 1969 to return home and take over the family business, D&M Poultry, Egg and Seafood.
Joe was a man of many talents who enjoyed fishing, hunting and working with his hands. Known for his ability to fix just about anything, he was always resourceful and mechanically gifted. Above all, Joe treasured family and found particular joy in spending time with his beloved grandchildren, Chase and Cali.
Joe is survived by Judy Dolfi, his loving wife of 60 years; their son Michael Dolfi, and his wife, Linda and his cherished grandchildren Chase and Cali Dolfi. He is also survived by his sister Diane Olson and her husband Dale, his brother, David Dolfi, and his wife Theresa; and his nieces and nephews D’Lisa Creager, Daryl Olson and Bridget Dolfi, along with their children.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00p.m. at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, 1201 Tremont Street, Galveston, Texas.
