Kelly Rosaire AKA KLOR passed away in April 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Her departure leaves a profound ache in the hearts of all who knew her, yet her spirit remains bright in the countless lives she touched with her curiosity, courage, and joy.

Kelly is survived by her devoted husband of 19 years, George Ritz, her mother, her two sisters, and her brother. She was preceded in death by her father, whose memory she carried with her throughout her life. Her family was the center of her world, and she carried their love with her through every chapter.

Throughout every season of Kelly's life, her husband George was her constant source of support, affection, and unwavering adoration. Their marriage was marked by deep companionship and a love that was both steady and joyful. George championed her curiosity, encouraged her passions, and stood beside her through every adventure and challenge. His devotion was a quiet, powerful presence, one that brought her comfort, confidence, and a sense of being truly cherished.

Intellectually curious and scientifically minded, Kelly approached the world with a sense of wonder that never dimmed. She was adventurous, playful, and delightfully whimsical—someone who could find magic in the ordinary and beauty in the unexpected. Her lifelong fascination with rocks and gemstones, inherited from generations before her, blossomed into a true calling. Known affectionately as a "real rockhound," she studied geological formations, collected stones from her travels, and later transformed her passion into art by creating stunning jewelry lines in Galveston.

Kelly's connection to the natural world extended beyond stones and minerals, she also had a remarkable green thumb. Plants flourished under her care, and she nurtured gardens with the same tenderness and curiosity she brought to every part of her life. Whether tending to a single sprout or cultivating a full garden of giant sweet potatoes, she found joy, peace, and purpose in watching things grow.

Kelly lived many lives in one. She worked with horses in Colorado, embracing the rugged beauty of the land and the deep connection between humans and animals. She served as a firefighter in California, bravely stepping into danger to protect others. She later became a surgical technologist, bringing precision, calm, and compassion into operating rooms. Her work included assisting in complex procedures and studying cultures in the laboratory, where her scientific curiosity and steady hands were invaluable.

Her love of beauty and care for others also led her to become an aesthetician, and she went on to teach cosmetology and skin care to students at San Jacinto College and Houston Community College. She was deeply proud of helping others build confidence and careers through education. Kelly herself studied at San Jacinto College, where she nurtured her academic interests and expanded her skills.

She was, at her core, a scientist of the world: always learning, always exploring, always asking questions. Whether studying gemstones, mastering new skills, or embarking on new adventures, Kelly lived with an open heart and an inquisitive mind.

Her friendships were among her greatest treasures. Kelly and her sister Sharon shared a bond that spanned many years, one built on laughter, loyalty, and a deep understanding of one another. Their closeness was a constant source of strength and joy.

As we honor Kelly's life, we remember a woman who was brave, brilliant, creative, and endlessly loving. Her legacy lives on in the people she inspired, the beauty she created, and the wonder she carried with her every day.

Memorial services with visitation beginning at 10:00am and the service to begin at 11:00am Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston. All are invited to come and share a memory.
