KIMBERLY JANE HALEY
Kimberly Jane Haley was a native and resident of Galveston, Texas. Born on February 14, 1967 to the late Randolph Haley Jr. and Shirley Savoy. Kimberly departed this life on Sunday December 18, 2022 at Hermann Memorial Southeast Hospital in Houston, Texas. Funeral services are 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 30, 2022 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston. The family will receive visitors beginning at 11:00am Friday.
Kim was a 1985 graduate of Ball High School in Galveston, Texas. She furthered her education by attending Prairie View A& M, College of the Mainland and San Jacinto College where she obtained a teaching degree.
Affectionately known as "Ms.Kim" by teachers and parents, she taught at Galveston County Community Action Council "Head Start" and Kings Daycare for numerous years. A highlight in her life was being awarded "Teacher of the Year".
In her spare time, she enjoyed the challenges of baking all the new trends of cakes and sweets, creating crafty masterpieces and decorating for events big and small. Kim truly enjoyed traveling the world, sight-seeing, taking road trips and one of her favorites was cruising the deep blue seas.
Her absolute main focus in life was raising her one and only child, Treyvon Lazare. The unconditional love Kim had for hm simply cannot be measured. The unbreakable bond they shared was priceless. He was her ultimate pride and joy. In addition to Treyvon, her mom, Shirley, was her Queen. Kim truly loved and cared for her mom unconditionally. Her loyalty gracious heart and never-ending love will always be first and foremost to you Shirley.
Kim gave unselfishly from the heart and contributed in so many ways. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and family was very important to her.
Kim leaves to cherish her memory one loving son, Treyvon Lazare and her beautiful mother, Shirley Savoy. Kim is also survived by a beloved circle of women with whom she shared an everlasting bond with; Pamela Porch, Tameka Hypolite, Tamika Horton, Valencia Hypolite, Shonna Marshall, Kathy Hypolite, Gloria Tisino Waters and Theresa Landor. Also remembering Kim's legacy are her godchildren Jamie Brown, Alaysha Hylton and Toddrick Smith.
Kim's gorgeous smile will forever be imprinted in the hearts of countless relatives and friends.
Kim was preceded in death by her father Randolph Haley Jr., her grandparents Walter and Felicia Savoy, Randolph Haley Sr. and Eunice Haley.
