In Loving Memory of Linda Ann Gonzales
November 12, 1955 – October 23, 2026
Linda Ann Gonzales, a lifelong resident of Galveston Island, passed away on October 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Memorial Services are 12:00 Noon Saturday, October 31, 2026 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston.
Born on November 12, 1955, Linda grew up on Galveston Island and graduated from Ball High School in 1974. She became a Licensed Nurse’s Aide and devoted her time to caring for others. Throughout her career, she also worked in hospitality at Harbor House and Hotel Galvez and spent time working at Gonzales Tire and Supply.
Linda was known for her fun-loving spirit, infectious laughter, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. She had a special way of making people feel welcome and turning ordinary moments into cherished memories. A familiar and beloved presence at The Gizmo in Galveston, Linda was known by many and will be remembered for the laughter, friendship, and warmth she shared wherever she went.
Above all, Linda cherished her family and friends. The relationships she built and the memories she created were among the greatest treasures of her life. Her presence, laughter, and loving spirit touched many hearts, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Gonzales Sr. and Maria Guadalupe “Lupe” Rocha Gonzales; her brother, Dario Gonzales; and her sister, Rose Gonzales.
Linda is survived by her sister, Margarite Gonzales Donihoo, and her brother, Raymond Gonzales Jr. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces, Donna Casas and Rayana Gonzales-Verdon; nephews, Jimmy Donihoo Jr., Alan Donihoo, Raymond Gonzales III and Blake Gonzales: along with a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins who will cherish her memory.
Linda’s life was a reflection of love, friendship, laughter, and the special bonds that connect us. Though she is no longer with us, the memories she leaves behind will remain forever in the hearts of her family, friends, and the Galveston community.
She will be remembered with love, missed beyond words, and never forgotten.
