Louise Laverne (Chide) Schilling
October 13, 1942 – December 7, 2025

Louise Laverne Chide Schilling, lovingly known as Mama Weezy, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on December 7, 2025, at the age of 83 in Magnolia, Texas. Born on October 13, 1942, in Galveston, Texas, Louise lived a life marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and her calling to care for others.

She graduated from Ball High School in 1961 and went on to build a long and varied career that reflected her strength, dedication, and compassion. Over the years she worked at Estrada Wholesale Liquor, Abe Kellner Insurance, the Bank of Galveston, UTMB, and ITPE of the National Maritime Union. She later became Director of HRA Village and eventually continued her service at North Metro Community Services (Colorado), where her commitment to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities left a lasting impact.

Louise was cherished for her famous Christmas cookies, her generosity of spirit, her love of family, and her natural ability to care for anyone who needed her. She was a longstanding member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and lived her faith through kindness, service, and steady devotion. She also enjoyed playing dice, especially the game "you blew it" which brought joy and laughter to many family gatherings.

Louise is survived by her children Timothy Lee Schilling and his spouse Sherlyn, Tammie Lynn Seiter and her spouse David, and Tony Louis Schilling and his spouse Judit. She is also survived by her grandchildren Marissa Ozmina and her spouse Curtis, Jacob Seiter, Madison Seiter, Tyche Cooke-Schilling, MacKenzie Cooke-Schilling, Oliva Schilling, and Lauren Schilling, as well as her great-grandson Everett Ozmina. Other family include siblings Leonard Chide Sr. and Oraline George, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Oralina Chide, her husband Carl Louis Schilling, her son Thomas Lane Schilling, and her siblings Mary West, James Chide, Felippa Chide, Joe Chide, Rosemary Chide, and Linda Chide.

Her family finds comfort knowing she is reunited with her beloved Thomas "Her Angel Man." Louise leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, resilience, faith, and she will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
